HELP SUPPORT EPSF THROUGH GRANT DONATIONS
FOR EDMOND SANTA FE HIGH SCHOOL

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON A PARTICULAR GRANT BEFORE DONATING - Please email Allison Lawrence, Program Director.

*ANYTIME, ANYWHERE LIBRARY ACCESS THROUGH CHROMEBOOKS

Carole Hawkins and Michele Baker
$4,959.83  |  16 Samsung Chromebooks and 1 Luxor Tablet Charging Cart

As Santa Fe’s enrollment grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to accommodate all requests by teachers to bring their classes to the library. Adding a cart of Chromebooks will expand the library into the classroom for researching, writing and revising in all subject areas.

*USING PROBEWARD TO INCREASE STUDENT UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE PROCESSES

Cheri Blackwood, Debbie Gateley, Kimberly Miller, Brandon Mayer, Robyn Gunter, Glenn Gateley
$5,000.00  |  Science lab probe equipment for all science areas

These probes will provide hands on lab experiences that require students to interpret graphs, make predictions, and draw conclusions, all skills that are tested on the science reasoning part of the ACT. Students who are able to actually collect the data rather than just be shown data have a better understanding of the concepts. This grant will impact all students taking science courses at Santa Fe.

*COATS FOR CAREERS

Kristen Harris
$737.70  |  40 Chef’s Coats for Family and Consumer Sciences

When students are in a professional atmosphere, they perform more professionally. In the past, when students wear aprons, especially mismatched or frilly aprons, it reinforces the mentality that these are home economic skills instead of career based skills. By providing students with industry standard attire during culinary labs, they will be better prepared when entering into the workforce.

*TECHNOLOGY IN COMPUTING

Susan James
$2,233.88  | A Plus Computer science Curriculum, 30 AP Computer Science Review books, and StarTec External Graphic Card Adapters for Computer Science classroom

This grant will purchase new curriculum and labs to aid students in programming, as well as create a dual monitor environment. A portion of this grant will be used to purchase AP review books to help prepare students for the AP exam and level the playing field for those who cannot afford to purchase the review books on their own.

TABLES FOR STANDARDIZED TESTING PURPOSES

Linda Hood, Deanna Fleck, Kathy Steward, Tami Mitchell
$5,000.00  |  144 8-foot tables for AP, PSAT, PLAN and ACT exams

Santa Fe is proud of our many high achieving student scholars. With so much at stake (college scholarships for our students), we must provide the best possible testing environment. Currently, schools rent tables for testing, which are often damaged, dirty, stained, and broken. Rented tables have collapsed during testing, and many have deep holes and splinters that make it difficult for students to write on exams. This grant will save money by using these purchased tables for years to come.

ENGLISH SUCCESS!

Keisha Cole and Melissa Price
$5,000.00  |  Puchase 16 iPad Mini’s and iPad Docking Cart

This grant will provide crucial technology for both the growing ELL program and students who struggle with English. Enrichment activities using technology are a perfect way to provide differentiated learning, and engage all students no matter they are educationally
