Edmond Early College Start program
Edmond Public Schools and the University of Central Oklahoma have established an early college program that will provide underserved students with dual credits totaling 45-62 hours of college coursework, which will lead to a two or four year degree. The community can support this program by donating through the Edmond Public Schools Foundation.
The Edmond Early College Start Program allows students an opportunity to earn a high school diploma and credits towards an associate's degree, free of charge. The partnership with The University of Central Oklahoma provides students a smaller learning environment with their peers (cohort) for concurrent/college courses, the support they need to succeed in high school and college, and access to UCO facilities.
Students can apply for this program, allowing them to take dual credit concurrent courses that follow one of the four pathways.
You can find more information, the application, and many frequently asked questions on the Edmond Public Schools website.
This program is approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and funded through grants and generous donors.
